The Foundation is building in the open. What you see here is current and honest, but it is not finished — read it as where we are today, not as a final statement.

Between now and MainNet, things will change: wording, structure, images, and figures. Some pages are placeholders. Where a photograph stands in for a person, it is a stock image, not the individual named.

The wider ZooBC ecosystem arrives in stages. The wallet, the explorer, the community forum, and the social channels each come online as MainNet approaches, and this site grows alongside them.

If something reads wrong, looks broken, or seems misleading, tell us. Feedback now is worth more to us than a polished launch later.

Testnet down after a node software bug stopped the chain

A bug introduced during node software work stopped the testnet. Patches are still being written and tested; nodes, registrations and participation eligibility are unaffected.

The testnet is down

I introduced a bug while working on the node software, and it stopped the chain. The testnet remains down while I write and test the patches needed to restart it.

The public testnet exists to surface bugs on a chain where coins carry no value, before mainnet where real stakes are involved.

What node operators need to know

  • Your node and registration are fine. Keep your node installed so you can resume when the patched version is available.
  • Testnet participation still counts. Downtime caused by the chain does not affect your eligibility.
  • I will post an update when the fix is ready, including instructions if you need to update anything.
