Work in progress

This site is still being built

The Foundation is building in the open. What you see here is current and honest, but it is not finished — read it as where we are today, not as a final statement.

Between now and MainNet, things will change: wording, structure, images, and figures. Some pages are placeholders. Where a photograph stands in for a person, it is a stock image, not the individual named.

The wider ZooBC ecosystem arrives in stages. The wallet, the explorer, the community forum, and the social channels each come online as MainNet approaches, and this site grows alongside them.

If something reads wrong, looks broken, or seems misleading, tell us. Feedback now is worth more to us than a polished launch later.

Programmes

Build on ZooBC, or make it understood. Either way, the ledger is public.

The Grants programme funds large public good work. The Community Giveaways reward feedback and testing. Between the two sit the Builder Program, for shipped software, and the Ambassador Program, for content, events, translations and communities. Both pay by published rules, from a public ledger, in ZBC that accrues until MainNet.

The Beaver

Builder Program

Three ways to earn: bounties the Foundation posts with a fixed reward band (S to XL), micro projects you propose with two to four milestones, and a contribution log for merged pull requests, tutorials, forum solutions and talks, scored by a reviewer. Everything is open source. Two reviews stand behind every payment.

Tiers: Builder, Core Builder, Fellow. Items above 5,000 ZBC are grants, not programme items.

The Coral

Ambassador Program

Explain the chain, translate it, run a local group, host a session, answer questions, bring node operators and testers. Each activity has a point value and a monthly maximum, needs a proof link, and gets a quality multiplier from a reviewer. You report every month; the month is paid by the point on top of a tier base.

Tiers: Candidate, Ambassador, Senior Ambassador, Lead Ambassador. Reports are due by the 5th of the next month.

How a month works

Do the work, log it

Claim a bounty, submit a milestone, or add an activity with its proof link during the month. The same link counts once, ever.

Reviewers score it

Two reviewers on a published rubric for applications, submissions and milestones; a quality multiplier for each activity. Conflicts are declared, not hidden.

The month closes

On the 10th: points frozen, tier caps and bases applied, the programme ceiling shared pro rata if it binds. An admin reads the draft.

The ledger is published

By the 15th, on the public ledger and the forum. Each row joins your MainNet record under your payout address, next to giveaways and purchases.

Every ZBC figure on this page is a proposal until the Foundation confirms it by vote. Rewards accrue in the ledger until MainNet, planned for 2027-02-14; balances are credited at genesis once they pass the 500 ZBC threshold, together with giveaways and purchases.

Bounty board

Tasks with a fixed reward, claimed by one builder at a time.

Identity is your Sippis account. The forum is zoobc.pro. Bugs found while building go to the bug bounty; feedback in Telegram goes to the giveaways. Nothing is counted twice. Anyone can post an idea for what to build next, and anyone with a verified account can show a project they built, funded or not.
