ZooBC testnet restarts on a fresh chain with version 0.5.1
Testnet and devnet are producing blocks with community-reported fixes, automatic splitting and linked-address accounts. Previous testnet balances did not carry over, and automatic splitting is not yet available in the wallet.

The ZooBC testnet restarted today on a fresh chain running version 0.5.1. Devnet, our internal network, relaunched at the same moment on the same version. Both are running and producing blocks.
This is a brand-new chain. Balances from the previous testnet did not carry over. If you were testing before, get fresh test ZBC from the faucet at https://zoobc.network/faucet/ and continue from there.
What changed since the last testnet
A large number of bugs reported by this community are now fixed and live. Thank you to everyone who filed reports on the forum. Every fix you were waiting on to be "live" is now live, and the related forum topics will be closed over the next days.
Some of the fixes you will notice:
- Fees are refunded uniformly. Whatever you overpay above the required fee comes back to you, on every transaction type.
- Escrow works in both directions. A receiver can now issue an escrow request, and the sender can accept or decline it.
- Taproot (bc1p) addresses can receive ZBC.
- When a token expires, its backing goes to the token holders in proportion to what they hold.
- A multisig transaction can no longer be paid twice.
- Several ways to crash or stall a node from the outside are closed.
New in this release
- Automatic splitting. An account can forward whatever it receives to up to ten other accounts, each with a share you choose. The shares can add up to less than 100%, and whatever is not assigned stays in the account. Tokens split the same way. For now this is set with the command-line tools; the wallet screen follows shortly.
- One account, many addresses. You can link several addresses into a single account with one shared balance. The addresses can use different key types, so a ZooBC key, an Ethereum key and a Bitcoin key can all belong to the same account. Whatever ZBC arrives at any of them lands in the shared balance. One address controls the group and decides which members may spend, and how much. This is available in the wallet now.
What we ask of you
Test more, and test harder. The new chain has everything at block zero, so there are no waiting periods before a feature switches on. Try the new features, try to break them, and report what you find on the forum at https://zoobc.pro/ with the steps to reproduce.
